Changed your mind?

If your Field Book is unused, unopened, and in its original condition, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the item price. Because a notebook becomes a personal record the moment it's written in, we can only accept returns of unused, unopened books — we're not able to accept a return once it's been opened or written in.

To start a return, email support@engineersfieldbook.co with your order number. We'll send you a return shipping label; return shipping is deducted from your refund unless the return is due to our error (see "Damaged or defective" below).

Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of us receiving the returned item.

Pre-orders

You can cancel a pre-order for a full refund at any time before it ships. Email support@engineersfieldbook.co with your order number. The refund goes to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of your request. Once a pre-order ships, the 30-day return window above applies from delivery.

Damaged or defective

If your Field Book arrives damaged, or you discover a genuine manufacturing defect (a binding issue, missing pages, a printing error), contact us at support@engineersfieldbook.co within 14 days of delivery with a photo. This isn't a "changed your mind" situation — we'll send a replacement at no cost to you, and you won't need to return the original unless we ask for it.

Wrong item received

If we shipped you the wrong item, email support@engineersfieldbook.co and we'll send the correct one immediately at no cost, with a prepaid label to return the incorrect item.

What we can't accept

  • A Field Book that's been opened, used, or written in, for any reason other than a defect
  • Returns requested more than 30 days after delivery
  • Gift cards or digital products

Reorders and the companion app

If you're reordering a fresh Field Book through the companion app once your current one is full, that's a new purchase, not a return of your existing notebook — your existing notebook and its archive are yours to keep regardless.
